Children should spend the summer months enjoying fresh air and sunshine, without the gnawing feeling of an empty stomach. We’re doing our best to make sure kids in our community can enjoy their summer break, but we can’t do it alone. Luckily, there are community partners like the Safeway Foundation.
Safeway Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors recently gifted Associated Recreation a $20,000 grant to help feed children during the summer. We want to thank Safeway Foundation Nourishing Neighbors for their generous donation which we’ll use to provide essential morning snacks for children in our childcare programs.
We are sincerely grateful to the folks at Safeway Foundation for joining us in the fight to alleviate hunger.
